I really want to take singing lessons but my parents said no. Reasons
are because:
1) We don't have that much money (I take violin/piano lessons, my
sister a science class and piano lessons, my brother
piano/drums/swimming lessons)
2) They don't THINK I'm devoted enuff to practice (because I can be
quite shy)
3) Whats the point of learning how to sing unless you're gonna become
a musician (which they highly doubt and only made me take instrumental
lessons for a hobby)
4) My grades in school are high but Im in the lower classes -.-

Reasons why I want To:
1) A musician is what I have the best chance at considering I suck at
school (but I wouldn't dare say this to my parents as they will
definitely reject it)
2) I want to learn how to be a good singer cuz I enjoy music.
3) I am willingly to be devoted enough, (thinking about asking them
everyday until they agree, or is that a bad idea?)
4) It will help my self confidence which is really low right now (If
you weren't my friend you'd have to be at a a foot or less to hear me
talk, and my friends never heard me sing even though they stand right
next to me, I ALWAYS mess up on violin recitals because I'm too
nervous)
5) It could help my piano practical aural tests which considers
singing.
6) I Realllllllllly want to do it and if they said yes it'd make me
happy.
7) (Oh and I'm a bad singer which is why I want to take lessons, not
bad but not moderate either -.-

So as you see, I have more reasons although my parents have more
strong reasons. Can anyone help me say something to persuade them?
(Also, *sigh if you want you can persuade me NOT to take lessons but
that could be very hard)

P.S. I'm only 13 and I want to learn as much as possible before I grow
up. (going off to ask my parents again, most of the time these talks
ended up making me depressed because my parents emphasized my poor
grades, my poor devotion, (I only practice piano 30 minutes even
though I've been playing for almost 7 years, and violin for 15 minutes
(I know that hardly anything) when I've been playing for 4 years, and
I spend almost 15 hours on the iphone a day, 5 hours to sleep, and 4
hours to shower, brush my teeth, eat, practice, etc.) and my poor
skills. ( I actually think I'm not that bad at piano/violin but they
always compare me to my sister which is unfair since she is 2 years
older then I am altthough my piano teacher thinks she might've been
more advance then I am at my age and my parents only think about
grades in which she is in the advance advance classes while I am in
the normal classes but the norm for students here usually take advance
classes.)

Sorry I made the situation a a little hard to persuade my parents with
but any suggestions to so with my schedule, devotion, persuading, etc.
would be appreciated. Sorrry again for writing so much, I have alot of
anger and self pitying I need to express. :P

It's old. I first heard it in late nineties.

I had to go to Compton yesterday, and there were barely any black
people anywhere. Almost everyone was Mexican, or maybe Central
American.

Why do so many rappers talk about Compton, though? I don't get it.
It looks like any other LA suburb with lots of Mexicans. It's not
like rappers talk about West Covina or stuff, though.

It's been a while, so what I saw is very disjointed and vague. All I
know is that it aired on cable television and it was on one of the
kids networks that I watched (I'm pretty sure it was either
Nickolodeon or Disney). And it was advertised profusely one to two
weeks before it aired. All I really remember from the movie itself was
something about twin girls, and the resurrection of one from her
grave. The vines that covered her grave came alive (I remember the
vine/weed things distinctly because I was afraid of vines on or near
graves for years after). I think a scarecrow was also somewhere in the
movie... not sure about that though.
Does anyone else remember this movie? Know what it was called? I'd
love to see it again now that I'm older.
It wasn't Jumanji, it was a scary movie for kids. I did love Jumanji
when I was growing up though...
But no, this was almost like a ghost movie

So I have an audition tomorrow afternoon for the Wizard of Oz and I
need to sing. I put the application form in a while ago, but recently
I've had this cold and my singing sounds awful now! My symptoms are a
runny nose and a cough and sometimes a sore throat. I've tried to sing
the audition song (Merry Old Land Of Oz) and it's completely messed up
my range and I can't even hit usually easy high notes. Also, when I
try to sing it an octave lower, I can't sing low notes very well
either. Any ideas of what I can do? Remember, it's tomorrow...:$

X-Men: First Class is a 2011 American super hero film directed by Matthew Vaughn. Based mostly on the characters showing in Marvel Comics, it is a prequel to the X-Men film chain. X-Men: First Class was introduced on 06 1, 2011 in the British and on 06 3 in the America. The film is set generally in 1962 through the Cuban Missile Disaster and focuses primarily on the connection between Professor X and Magneto and then the origin of their groups, the X-Men plus the Brotherhood of Mutants. The film actors James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Other forged people include Kevin Bacon, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Zoë Kravitz, Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till. The film was principally taken in Great britain and parts of the usa. At a German concentration camp in active Poland in 1944, scientist Dr. Schmidt observes younger Erik Lensherr bend a aluminum gate along with his mind when the child is taken away from his families. In a Westchester Area, New York mansion, younger telepath Charles Xavier meets homeless younger form-shifter Raven. Overjoyed to satisfy someone else "different" like him, he invitations her to stay along with his family. In his office, Schmidt asks Lensherr to similarly transfer a metallic coin on a desk, and eliminates his mother when the child can't. Lensherr's out-of-handle magnetic energy manifests, eliminating two security guards and destroying the room, a lot to Schmidt's delight. In 1962, an adult Lensherr has initiated monitoring down former Nazis, trying to search for Schmidt and bring revenge. In Uk, Oxford College graduate Xavier is posting his dissertation on mutation; Raven, now his foster sister, stays with him. In Las Vegas, Cia agent Moira MacTaggert follows U.S. Military Colonel Hendry into the Hellfire Team, where she watches Sebastian Shaw, Emma Frost, and Azazel. After Shaw threatens Hendry, Azazel goes away with the officer; minutes later Hendry is in the War Room, advocating that the U.S. place nuclear missiles in Turkey. Shaw then eliminates Hendry, showing himself as Schmidt and indicating the strength-absorbing mutant energy that has de-aged him. MacTaggert, seeking Xavier's recommendation on mutation, presents him and Raven to the Cia, at which they convince Director McCone that mutants exist and Shaw is a risk. Although McCone declines to apply the mutants, they are backed via the un-named "Guy in Black Go well with", another Cia executive. Xavier tracks Shaw down, arriving quickly to prevent Lensherr, who had attacked Shaw, through drowning as Shaw escapes. Xavier delivers Lensherr to the Central intelligence agency's secret "Division X" office. They meet younger scientist Hank McCoy, a prehensile-footed mutant whom Xavier unexpectedly outs as a mutant. Xavier uses a mutant- looking for machine, Cerebro, to search out and hire mutants for education to prevent Shaw. He and Lensherr discover stripper Angel Salvadore; taxi driver Armando Muñoz, who obtains the code name Darwin; Army prisoner Alex Summers, who calls himself Havok; and Sean Cassidy, who names himself Banshee. Raven obtains the nick name Mystique. When Frost meets with a Soviet general in the united states, Xavier and Lensherr catch her. In the meantime, Azazel, Riptide and Shaw harm Division X, eliminating everybody but the younger mutants and giving them the opportunity to attend him. Angel agrees; at the time Darwin tries to fight back, Shaw eliminates him. With the ability destroyed, Xavier takes the mutants to teach at his household mansion. McCoy devises protective outfits and a invisible aircraft. In Moscow, Shaw obliges the general to have the Soviet Union establish nuclear missiles in Cuba. Through the Cuban Missile Disaster, U.S. President John F. Kennedy institutes a blockage to end a Soviet freighter from shifting the nuclear missiles to Cuba. Shaw, carrying a helmet that foils Xavier's telepathy, accompanies the Soviet navy to make sure the missiles arrive, attempting to set off World War III and obtain mutant ascendency. Raven goes to attract Lensherr, who convinces her to accept her nature as a mutant. After that, McCoy presents Raven his solve for her appearance, but she declines. The cure backfires on McCoy, rendering him a leonine beast. Although self-conscious of his new appearance, he pilots the mutants and MacTaggert to the blockage line. In an ensuing struggle with Shaw, Lensherr takes the helmet for himself, authorizing Xavier to immobilize Shaw. Despite Xavier's objections, Lensherr eliminates Shaw by making the focus camp coin through his brain. Fearing the mutants, the fleets hearth their missiles at them. In a struggle, Xavier keeps Lensherr from hurting the fleets with the missiles, but when MacTaggert shoots at Lensherr, a deflected bullet strikes Xavier in the backbone. Lensherr, remorseful, leaves with Mystique, Angel, Riptide and Azazel. A wheelchair-bound Xavier and the mutants return back to the mansion, at which he intends to create a school. MacTaggert guarantees to never show his location and so they kiss; on the Cia later, she states that she has no clear memory of current events. Lensherr, in a uniform with the helmet and labeling himself Magneto, cracks Frost from confinement.

Im going off to college soon and I really really want an apartment
(not rent, buy) obviously im not gona get an income by being a doctor
or a lawyer because ill be in college so im facing working where a
teenager is expected to work but I don't want to live in a charming
apartment and be able to pay all the extras like car, clothes,

*The first trailer for Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the
novel _War Horse_ has battled its way online.*

Though it comes with Spanish subtitles (what’s with foreign
trailers this week?), it’s still a thing of quiet beauty.

Based on the book by Michael Morpurgo, _War Horse_ follows
farmer’s son Albert (Jeremy Irvine), who befriends a horse named
Joey against the backdrop of WW1.

The two are wrenched apart when Joey’s sent off to war, and
changes the lives of those he meets on his journey through the
battlefield.

Easily transporting the magic of the story’s successful
stageplay onto the big screen, this first trailer gives us some truly
gorgeous vistas as well as a humble, trembling score from John
Williams.

Spielberg just brought his A game, and you can bet the Academy Awards
are paying attention.
